As much use as a chocolate teapot! - Year 2 Science

As part of our Science work on materials we have been looking at a range of materials and their properties. We discussed the meaning behind the expression 'as much use as a chocolate teapot' and have set a challenge to make up a new one. Please post on the blog!
We had fun investigating which spoon was best for different jobs....
Serving out spaghetti with a tiny plastic spoon ..

too much water in the dish..

more successful

the best for that job!

I think the spoon is going to break!

Much better.

The peas will be cold by the time they're on the plate

more peas but too much water again

perfect!

  1. Wowzers year 2's your science looks fantastic. Every moment of every day we are using and are part of some type of science, especially when you're cooking. Your science looks fun. "Team Squire" have discussed your challenge and although we do not qualify as a year 2 persons we like to live life on the edge, so here goes:

As useful as a wet paper bag.
