Week 7 20th October

Preparing and Predicting

Measuring
Recording
This week we were investigating which materials were good for keeping things warm. The children were very surprised with the results - The foil kept the water the warmest.
Well done for your hard work in your maths assessments. Some of you got full marks! We have already looked at some of the tricky areas and we will carry on this week.
We have enjoyed looking at the story of Farmer Duck this week and using that to help us write our recounts, making sure our verbs were in the past tense. We shall be continuing this week, reading other stories which are recounts. Don't forget to look out for those past tense verbs in your own reading.
The children are looking forward to their little performance at the Harvest Tea assembly this week.
Maths and Phonics homework are both in the homework book this week and we look forward to meeting you at Parents' Evening.
