Today we had to make bodies and legs for animals. Each leg had to be half as long as the body, or the body length had to be double that of the leg!

Wednesday afternoons are when all the year 1 children get together with Mrs MacMorrin!

At the moment we are learning about Thinking Things Through Maths - which is problem solving!

So we needed to be able to double and halve numbers, recognise odd and even numbers and record our findings! Some of us tried to be systematic and find patterns in our results!

Every one worked very hard and succeeded in making different animals!

I wonder what our Thinking Through Maths will be next week?!

  1. Elise really enjoyed the story about the first cave painting you all read in class and she found the video about the Lascaux caves fascinating! Elise's mum
